About Akos Bodi
Akos Bodi was the TIGI European Creative Director and for over 20 years he has worked alongside Anthony Mascolo, leading TIGI education and creating the distinctive imagery and collections for which the TIGI International Creative Team is renowned for.
His role within TIGI is varied embracing product innovation and development, artistic leadership, research and creative planning. Akos Bodi works closely with Anthony to research new ideas, looking at emerging cultural changes, fashion trends, art, music and film to create not only commercial hair collections, but also the experimental couture hair which is central to any TIGI global show.
Since its launch 13 years ago, Akos Bodi has been lead mentor for TIGI Inspirational Youth, a project to find and nurture new hairdressing talent, running in the UK, Germany and USA. with the objective of creating tomorrow’s hairdressing stars. Often described as a “life-changing” experience, many former team members have gone on to forge highly successful careers.
A precise and highly technical hairdresser, Akos Bodi has a highly conceptual vision of hair as part of a person’s total image and works to constantly progress his work, sharing what he creates with his peers.
