About Ky Wilson
Ky Wilson discovered his love of hairdressing in his native Kendal, in the Lake District before moving to London. He worked at Electric Hairdressing and Percy & Reed before opening his own salon: The Social in both London and The Lake District. At the young age of 28, Ky has been nominated for 28 awards for his work in the hairdressing industry. 2017 has started off remarkably as well with Ky winning the overall UK L'Oréal Colour Trophy Men's Image Award and also becoming a finalist for American Crew's All Star Competition UK/Ireland. Ky recently also won Creative Head's the IT Guy 2017 as well as The IT List's Entrepreneur Award 2016 for his innovative salon concept which is a collaborative movement pushing the boundaries of the hair industry. Last year Ky was also awarded Hairdresser Journal's Barber of the Year.
